A visit of representatives of TU Bergakademie Freiberg (Technical University of Freiberg, Germany) at ITMO University
29.03.2017 – 30.03.2017 a visit of representatives of TU Bergakademie Freiberg (Technical University of Freiberg, Germany) at ITMO University took place.
Participants from the side of TU Bergakademie Freiberg were:
Prof. Dr. K.D. Barbknecht, Rector of TU TU Bergakademie Freiberg;
Prof. Dr. R. Cavalla, Vice-Rector for research;
M. Kruger, Head of Department for University Communications;
Prof. Dr. S. L. Molodtsov, Professor for structural research, Director E-XFEL(Hamburg, Germany);
Dr. A. Leineweber, Professor at the Institute for Materials Science;
C. Grehl, PhD student.
On the 29th of March there was the meeting in the Oak hall of the building of ITMO University on Birzhevaya line 14. Participants from the side ITMO University were:
Prof. Dr. V.N. Vasilyev, Rector of ITMO University;
Prof. Dr. V.O. Nikiforov, Vice-Rector for Research;
Prof. Dr. A.E. Romanov, Head of Department of Modern Functional Materials;
Ass. Prof. E. Tulugurova, Head of International Educational Programs Department.
The meeting was opened with a welcome speech by Prof. V.N. Vasilyev. Then Prof. A.E. Romanov introduced presentations about School of Photonics and International Research Center of Functional Materials and Devices of Optoelectronics and Elecronics, and finally, Ass. Prof. E. Tulugurova was telling about International Master and PhD programs at ITMO University.
The rectors Prof. V.N. Vasilyev and Prof. K.-D. Barbknecht signed General Agreement on the Joint Doctorate Procedure related to Double Degree PhD Program between ITMO University and TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
Before the meeting, the guests visited laboratories of International Research and Education Center for Physics of Nanostructures, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. A.V. Fedorov.
On the second day of the visit, in the building of ITMO University on Lomonosova str. 9, representatives of TU Bergakademie Freiberg and ITMO University discussed details of realization of the Double Degree PhD Program, as well as the possibility of launching a new International Double Degree Master Program between the universities.
The guests visited laboratories of International Research Center of Functional Materials and Devices of Optoelectronics and Electronics, under the leadership of Prof. A.E. Romanov and International laboratory "Solution chemistry of advanced materials and technologies", under the leadership of Prof. V.V. Vinogradov. After that there came reports of students from both laboratories:

“Education and research international experiences in inorganic chemistry”, by S. Durini.
